General overview of pharmacology including kinetics, dynamics and therapeutics of drugs relevant to the speciality. Emphasis will be laid on anesthetics, analgesics, sedative and hypnotics, muscle relaxants, and antimicrobial drugs. The course also briefly addresses the classes of drugs that affect the autonomic nervous system, cardiovascular system, gastrointestinal system, respiratory system, renal system, carbohydrate and calcium metabolism and corticosteroids. It is situated on the fifth floor of the dental college.
